Obituary of Patricia Anne Harper Jackson

Patricia Anne Harper Jackson, "Patty", age 57 of Syracuse, entered Heaven on January 13, 2019. During her transition, Patricia was surrounded by loved ones, most importantly her daughter and brother. Although she was in South Carolina for only a short while, she made many friends, who came to her side to show their love and support for her and her family. Patricia was raised in Syracuse and became a Respiratory Therapist, working primarily at Community General Hospital. She lived most of her life in Central New York with family and friends whom she truly enjoyed. She spent most of her time doing what she loved the most, quilting. She left behind lots of fabric as any good quilter should. Patricia is survived by her daughter Amelia, her husband Shaun Munkberg and their two children – Layla and Ethan; her former husband Leland; her brother Michael, his wife Anne and their four children – Christopher, Sam, Joe, and Michael Jr.; her brother Jim, his wife Hilde and their three children – Michele, Aran and Collin; her brother Tom, his wife Barbara and their two children – Kristy and Tom; along with other family and close friends. Calling hours for Patricia will be held Monday, January 21, 2019 from 4-7 PM at the Macko-Vassallo Funeral Home, 1609 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY 13204. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Please, in lieu of any flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the National Prion Disease Pathology Surveillance Center (NPDPSC).
